I've always known that "Whether you're a newspaper journalist, a lawyer, a doctor. You have to organize your thoughts." (Frederick Wiseman) I'm pretty good at organizing in a lot of areas but then in others not so much. One of those not so much areas is my knitting and crochet projects. I often find soooo many patterns that I want to make and get started on them before I've finished 5 others. Sad, I know right.
As fate would have it, while browsing thru the beautiful pieces in my Etsy team member's shop, I came across an awesome gift I could make for myself to begin organizing my crochet projects. It's a Crochet Hook Organizer Case. This creative clutch purse-size case allows me to travel easy, organized and in the color of my life!
Vicki was so sweet in sharing the pattern with me; digging through "3 rooms full of stuff" looking for it, as it was an old pattern her son found. She scanned the copy and sent it to me and I started it immediately. Close to finishing it, I found a little box with some old purple costume jewelry pieces. The flower button was once a ring! As soon as I saw it I knew it was gonna be the perfect accent for it.
So now I have a Purple-tastic case organizer that holds up to 28 different sized hooks, needles, scissors, stitch markers, tape measurer, pens and so much more!! I am too proud!! :-D
You won't see me too often without it now but I will admit, you will probably see me with a new project, yes, still with 5 others unfinished. Don't judge me, I'm a work in progress!

I'm Getting Organized

Thirsty's Bar and Grill - Lilburn, GA
This place has disgusted me for the last time! They are always short staffed because the owner can't keep employees! She is rude and does not know how to treat people.
On a Saturday afternoon for a ladies poker tournament (102+ players) they only had 2 1/2 servers there; who, of course, were new!!!! I say 2 1/2 because one of them couldn't understand English! There was over an hour wait for food. And I never received my food 3 1/2 hrs later when I was ready to leave. But the icing on this disgusting cake is that I ordered 3 of the drink specials but asked that they not be brought at the same time. 2 1/2 hrs later when I decided to get another drink I go to the bar and the bartender, Wendy, pulls out a readymade drink from the cooler. It was obvious that it had been sitting there for a while and was watered down because there was water on top. I asked that she make me another drink. Instead, Wendy drank from my drink and told me it was not watered down and then handed it back to me!!!! I was totally appalled that she did that and thoroughly pissed! Never again will I go back there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes The Boss Has To Spoil Herself
"The Aquarius" paracord bracelet is made of purple and grey/silver 550 paracord with a metal charm showing the symbolic emblem of the water bearer. Felicia added a little flare to her bracelet spraying the purple cord with glitter. "She's so extra!" LOL
Felicia was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Although raised in Decatur, Georgia from the age of 10 and she's been living there ever since, she's quick to tell everyone she's from NC. There's just something about that place she can't let go.
I suspect more to come from her. Tennis, poker, motorcycles, knitting and crochet are among her favorite activities. Stay in touch to see what follows next!
*** July 7, 2013 ***
Well, as aforementioned, Felicia received 2 new accolades in 2 of her favorite hobbies, tennis and poker.
The Mizzell family is very competitive! Each year they participate in sports challenges both on and off the field/court. At this year's family reunion there was a flag football, bowling and tennis challenge. You can see above how Felicia fared out. ALL SMILES!!
About 3-5 times a week, Felicia finds time to break away from designing and play tournament Texas Hold'em poker with the largest poker league in the southeast, Interstate Poker Club. There she folds, bluffs, calls, raises and goes all-in to the final table! She recently joined the elite Royal Flush Club when she "flopped it"; A, K, Q of diamonds with J, 10 in her hand!! It doesn't get any sweeter than that!
If you're in Atlanta and you're a poker player, look up Interstate Poker Club for one of their 30+ games/day at www.interstatepokerclub.com and look for FeMi at the final table!! But be careful, her poker face is unrecognizable! *wink*

Fans Remember Deacon Jones
I'm actually not a St. Louis Rams fan however, I thought it was quite interesting that I designed these bracelets today, about an hour before hearing on the radio the announment of Deacon Jones' death, for a fan who ordered them last week.
Fans have not hesitated to share their stories and memories of him. Click HERE to read how Fans Remember Deacon Jones.

Sandy Hook Elementary School
Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
When 20 beautiful children stormed through Heaven's gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy; they didn't know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"Where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"This is heaven" declared a small boy. "We're spending Christmas at God's house".
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But Jesus, their Savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only Heaven can bring
Those children all flew into the arms of their King.
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
One small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of Mom and Dad."
Then He looked down on Earth, at the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe.
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!
May this country be delivered from the hands of fools
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools! "
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"Come now my children let me show you around. "
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."
Have a Peaceful Christmas...

Zig Ziglar Died Today - "Living Your Dreams"
Zig Ziglar traveled the nation and the world as a motivational speaker for more than 40 years, stirring corporate groups with his distinctive blend of sound-bite optimism, country wit, Christian faith and good-natured nudging for people to see the bright side of life. May he rest in peace.
Coincidentally (but maybe not), today Baisden Live talked about "Living Your Dreams". DHDesigns was born when I stepped out of 11 years in the medical field (which I actually enjoyed) and birthed Delicate Hands' Designs! I'm "working" more now than I ever did BUT the rewards are endless and so worth it! Entrepreneurship has been such a blessing and I LOVE what I do like nothing before!

“If you can dream it, you can achieve it.” - Zig Ziglar
I shared my story in one of the facebook posts Baisden made and in so doing, I met Germika Pegram, MSW. She visited my website through my post and "liked" my page, stating I did awesome work! What a blessing she was, as she offered to be a resource through her services and even any resources of other people. She made mention on her own page of my business and encouraged others to view and "like". As a result, 6 fans of DHDesigns were added within an hour of her post!
“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” - Z. Z.
I was blown away as I witnessed the impact of networking and sharing my story! The experience truly motivated me to "run my mouth" about anything I can, related to my business! You will hear more from me soon on an upcoming airing of The Ugly Truth Radio, discussing current headlines and topics, and of course, promoting Delicate Hands' Designs! I'm incredibly excited about the many doors that are being opened and I "expect the best, plan for the worst, and will capitalize on what comes." - Z. Z.
